Unreal Engine Real Estate Visualization.
We developed a sophisticated, interactive 3D application using Unreal Engine as a key sales enablement tool for Hilhim Furniture. Designed for a Windows PC, this application allowed Hilhim to present their high-quality furniture collections within a realistic virtual hotel room setting to a major potential client in Dubai. The bespoke solution featured real-time navigation, multiple distinct furniture layout configurations, and switchable day/night lighting scenarios, providing an immersive and persuasive visualization experience.
The Challenge
To secure a significant hotel furnishing contract in Dubai, Hilhim Furniture needed to move beyond static presentations and allow their client to truly visualize the furniture in situ. The challenge was to create a high-fidelity, interactive 3D experience that could:
- Realistically showcase diverse furniture pieces within a typical hotel room environment.
- Allow easy switching between different curated furniture arrangements (setups) in real-time.
- Demonstrate how the furniture appeared under both daytime and nighttime lighting conditions.
- Enable intuitive user navigation for close examination of furniture details and quality.
- Perform smoothly on standard presentation hardware (Windows PC).
- Serve as a compelling and memorable part of Hilhim’s sales pitch.
My Role
As the Unreal Engine Developer for this project, I was responsible for the conception, design, and entire technical execution of the interactive 3D showcase application. My specific contributions included:
- Building and optimizing the detailed 3D hotel room environment within Unreal Engine.
- Integrating Hilhim’s furniture 3D models created the furniture models, ensuring they were visually accurate and performed well in real-time.
- Developing the core interactive functionality, enabling seamless switching between three distinct furniture configurations.
- Implementing realistic and easily switchable day and night lighting scenarios within the environment.
- Programming intuitive user controls for navigation and interaction within the 3D space.
- Packaging the final application into a polished, standalone executable for Windows PC.

The Solution
I delivered a custom-built Unreal Engine application designed specifically as a high-impact sales tool:
- Photorealistic Real-Time Visualization: Created a visually stunning and realistic hotel room environment where Hilhim’s furniture could be appreciated in context, leveraging Unreal Engine’s rendering capabilities.
- Dynamic Configuration Switching: Implemented an intuitive interface or interaction system allowing the presenter or client to instantly swap between three different curated furniture layouts within the room.
- Day & Night Scene Modes: Developed distinct lighting setups representing both bright daylight and ambient nighttime conditions, switchable on command, to provide a comprehensive visual understanding.
- Interactive Exploration: Enabled free camera movement and navigation, allowing users to walk around the virtual room and examine furniture pieces up close from any angle.
- Optimized Standalone Application: Ensured the experience ran smoothly on typical PC hardware and delivered it as a user-friendly, standalone Windows application, perfect for presentations.

The interactive 3D application proved to be a powerful and innovative asset for Hilhim Furniture’s sales efforts. Key results included:
